We are a non-profit organization consisting of a group of clinicians and researchers who want to empower patients with video decision aids. Our video support tools are carefully crafted after undergoing rigorous review by leading experts in medicine, geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, ethics, and decision-making. All of our video decision aids are filmed and produced by our team, which is led by Dr. Angelo Volandes and Aretha Delight Davis, JD, MSIV along with colleagues from Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Boston Medical Center, and the University of Chicago. All of our videos are studied first in the research arena before being disseminated to the public and have been approved by the Investigational Review Boards of all affiliated facilities. Our aim is to produce culturally appropriate and easy to use video decision aids. Toward this end, we evaluate our videos in research that includes participants who represent geographic, racial, age, and religious diversity. We are thankful to the patients and families who have agreed to be filmed for the purposes of educating and improving decision-making at the end of life for all patients. To support our work, we gladly consider funding from institutions and individuals to help improve the delivery of health care to patients.
